ABOUT THE CHOIR

Our present choir  grew out of an evening class formed in 1969 and was re-constituted as the Sutton Coldfield Choral Society a year later.

We normally perform two large-scale classical concerts a year, usually in May and December, accompanied by a professional concert orchestra and soloists. Our concerts often feature substantial large scale works and recent performances have included Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Handel's Coronation Anthems, Rutter's Requiem, Rossini's Messe Solenelle and Faure's Requiem.

Our main concert venue is Emmanuel, the Parish Church of Wylde Green.
